On the 13th of March, the elections results night was live streamed on Facebook. I planned and was able to ensure that it happened as lockdown was on the horizon and so knew that there would be students (and their family) wanting to watch. This video below is the edit from the live feed (tidied up & captioned).
What the client wanted:
I was asked to edit an interview for PulseTV. The interview was a student (Peter) talking to lead singer Jay from Ska Face. I didn’t take part in the actual filming or recording of sound; I was given the files and went to work.
We were asked to create a piece on a social issue – I chose homelessness and disability. The piece was entirely constructed with stock footage from Stock Unlimited.
This piece is about body image. I was both cinematographer and editor.
I was tasked with finding a client and producing a promotional video for them; I chose the Tallia School of Dance.
We were asked to create a VFX piece, so I chose to turn stock video shots into underwater scenes. I also added elements into it to make it more authentic. The clip is inspired by “The Shape of Water”.
I was approached by a friend to help produce content for her social media channels during the UCLan Students’ Union elections. Ultimately she won by a huge majority. These are the three videos I produced for her.
This piece is one of my favourites to date – I spent a lot of time researching and travelling to speak to people.
We were asked to adapt a news story into a fictional piece. We came across a news story which was about an airline that had their planes reposessed by an airport as they were owed money.
For this piece, my role was both editing it together and I also shot the intro scene.
We were asked to produce a short documentary – so we chose to do one exploring the decline in numbers of people being interested in religion and/or attending church.
For this piece, my role was both editing it together and also I was cinematographer for some shots (the ones that have bokeh).
